my busiest week

this week was the longest week ive ever felt during my spell at micet. we have a lot of assignments and getting prepared for the mini project's presentation tomorrow plus lab reports that needed to be submitted before the week end.

its quite hard for me to update the blog due to this narrow time we have even though i have plenty on mind to write in this blog. on top of that i dont have internet connection at my house. right now my housemate and me are trying to get the best of our hours at McD ayer keroh. we are waiting for the breakfast special that comes with special offer before the end of this month. But it is not good for our health if we take fast food too often because it can cause fattiness.

Early this morning we have a presentation for our mini project. so far 80% are completed as an evident of good leadership and teamwork. the slide is done and we are waiting anxiously for our turn to come. i just cant wait to be ready for jumaat prayer because at that time all the burdens are lifted from our head just for awhile for some breather.

everyone are busy updating their blog because tomorrow our respective technical communication lecturers are going to check our posts. tomorrow is also the last day for us to share our stories in the blog because after that we are not needed to update the blog no more. im quite sad because this is my first blog and FYI i feel even more sad because i cant use my tab button to make the paragraph. i also cant upload picture in my post and that has ripped my heart.

so see u again in another time if we have the opportunity to keep in touch in this virtual world.astalavista baby!

A Positive Thing that I'm Going to Do During the Mid-Semester Break is....

mid sem break is the most thing that students cant wait for and same goes to me!cant wait to meet my friends and my family. and the thing that im going to do to release tension after terrible 2 months study full with assignments and test is spend my time more to outdoor activities, jogging at mengkuang dam! this is my favorite
place because of its incredible beautiful view, just like below..

this place also is most favorite shotting scene for those who r just married or for photographer. the lake really makes me so relax and calm. there is also people come just for take a walk and have like a tea time. seriously, u all must come here!!:)

why do students cheat??

It is a rare individual who actively chooses to be dishonest. But why do a few students make compromising choices? What can lead people to act in ways that they aren't proud of? Below are some underlying beliefs and confusions which give as explanations for slipping standards of integrity.

Students generally are familiar with the disciplinary actions and penalties for getting caught. However, they may fail to understand that one of the personal consequences of cheating and/or plagiarism is that they aren't actually learning or practicing the material. They may not realize that they will actually need and be accountable for certain knowledge and skills.
Students and their families often have very high expectations about grade achievements because they are accustomed to getting As. More pressure comes from the emphasis on grades in hiring and graduate admissions. Some students may feel pressured to develop unorthodox means to get competitive and marketable credentials.

Students often have multiple assignments due on the same day and in some courses may have only a few opportunities to demonstrate what they know. Cheating can be a tempting path when they have difficulty managing their time. Some may have little remorse because they rationalize "doing what it takes" to get all of their work done. One poor performance on a high-stakes assignment or feeling "shafted out of an A" by a curve may increase the perceived pressure to switch from honest work to questionable "shortcuts."

Leaders are MADE NOT BOURNE

"Leadership is like gravity. You know it's there, you know it exists, but how do you define it?"

This is a very old question that has been discussed and argued for a long time over the century. Many people had died trying to defend their principium.Okay, thats not true.i just made it up. No one have ever died because of this topic.

These are some of the characteristics of a person who are really fit to become a good leader.

  • Honest — Display sincerity, integrity, and candor in all your actions. Deceptive behavior will not inspire trust.
  • Competent — Base your actions on reason and moral principles. Do not make decisions based on childlike emotional desires or feelings.
  • Forward-looking — Set goals and have a vision of the future. The vision must be owned throughout the organization. Effective leaders envision what they want and how to get it. They habitually pick priorities stemming from their basic values.
  • Inspiring — Display confidence in all that you do. By showing endurance in mental, physical, and spiritual stamina, you will inspire others to reach for new heights. Take charge when necessary.
  • Intelligent — Read, study, and seek challenging assignments.
  • Fair-minded — Show fair treatment to all people. Prejudice is the enemy of justice. Display empathy by being sensitive to the feelings, values, interests, and well-being of others.
  • Broad-minded — Seek out diversity.
  • Courageous — Have the perseverance to accomplish a goal, regardless of the seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Display a confident calmness when under stress.
  • Straightforward — Use sound judgment to make a good decisions at the right time.
  • Imaginative — Make timely and appropriate changes in your thinking, plans, and methods. Show creativity by thinking of new and better goals, ideas, and solutions to problems. Be innovative!
Great leaders are often scholars in their field and are intelligent. Like all great scholars, they aren't know-it-alls, they feel there is always more to learn and have a willingness to admit mistakes. Outstanding leaders make decisions based on facts, and apply common sense and simplicity to complex tasks. You must select the right strategy for the right situation, even when the pressure is overwhelming. They are well organized, detail-oriented and, due to their thorough preparation, rarely caught off guard. Their great knowledge allows them to be great educators and motivators. They are also smart enough to know that many times they will have to alter what they originally planned due to changing circumstances, so flexibility and having an open mind are crucial to leadership.

Here are some specific suggestions you could follow to increase your leadership effectiveness:
1. Get 360º feedback on your present level of effectiveness as judged by co-workers that you respect.
2. Pick the most important behaviors for change those that you believe will enhance your effectiveness as a leader in example become a more effective listener or make decisions in a timely manner.
3. Periodically ask co-workers for suggestions on how you can do an even better job in your selected behaviors for change.
4. Listen to their ideas but beware not to promise to change everything and make the changes that you believe will further increase your effectiveness.
5. Follow-up and measure change in effectiveness over time.

So I think it is clear here that a leader is made from his/her experiences from young until he or she grow up as an adult. If from the very beginning the person mingle around with people with great vision and experience plus admirable personality , he/she will learn and soon become a great person. Because a person is easily influenced by the person they are close with.

For me to become a leader one must be really approachable and put the people around them first before themselves. A leader must be ready to sacrifice their time because it is not an easy job to administer their subordinate or follower and must be a good thinker to solve any problem that come knocking their front door even in the middle of the night.

A leader is like a soldier. They must be trained really well about life and how to handle pressure. That is why if u noticed almost every king in the world would send their sons to military school so that they can be ready physically and mentally before they can take the throne and confront the commonalty.

students' election

An election is a formal decision-making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. Elections have been the usual mechanism by which modern representative democracy operates since the 17th century. Elections may fill offices in the legislature, sometimes in the executive and judiciary, and for regional and local government. This process is also used in many other private and business organizations, from clubs to voluntary associations. Each year in every university will have their students election to pick the next leader. But believe or not, there are certain students did not really care and take part in the election. for them it is just wasting their time or maybe they did not even know the candidates. we know this election not really important compared with the national level, but at least the students should contribute something because the students' representative council is the one that will fight and voice out students right.

~birth order trait~

Believe it or not, there is something that influences your personality even before you take your first breath. This is your birth order. Research shows that a person's birth order has a direct link with his or her personality. This site is dedicated to informing you on how your birth order has shaped you into who you are today, on how your birth order influences your education, and as a guide to both parents and educators on dealing with each specific birth order type.

First born children

Smarter?  First born children may be smarter than youngest and middle children. First borns' IQ points are on average 3 points higher than their younger siblings; in fact, IQs tend to drop as more children are born in the family. This may be because parents spend more time with first borns, and first born children mentor their younger siblings and thus learn more. However, Aaron Wichman of Ohio State University found that it’s not birth order that affects intelligence, it’s family size (from a research study called “Older Children Not Smarter Than Younger Sibs, Study Finds”). Big families can’t offer the same advantages to all the kids that small families can. It’s genetics and the family environment that affects IQ more than birth order.

Better educated. First born children are more likely to go to college or university than youngest or middle children. If parents can afford to send one child to school, it’s more likely to be the first born. Families invest more in first born children than middle or youngest children.

More money.  First born children may earn more money and be more likely to hold a high-paying, white collar job. First borns are more likely to be surgeons, chairs in boardrooms, and hold MBAs.

Favorites.  First born children are more likely enjoy resources (food, parental time, emotional nourishment, attention) than youngest children. It becomes a cycle: the more first borns are nurtured, the stronger they become – prompting parents to invest even more time, money, and attention.

Personality trait of middle children

More mysterious. Middle born children are more difficult to define because their identity growing up changed (from last born to middle child). This affects their personality and environment in unpredictable ways.

Peacekeepers. Middle born children may be more likely to keep peace in the family, to restore connections and relationships.

Less decisive. Middle children may take longer to choose a career than firstborn or later-borns. They may deliberately make opposite choices than firstborns; if the first born is a doctor, the middle child may choose to be a firefighter or policeman.

Less connected. Middle children may not be as attached to the family as first borns or later borns.

Personality Traits of Last Born or Youngest Children

More adventurous. Last born or youngest children are more likely to be “loose cannons”, according to an article in Time magazine (“The Power of Birth Order”, Oct 29, 2007). Youngest children are more likely to be an artist, entrepreneur or adventurer – and more likely to participate in physically risky sports.

Funnier. Last born children are more likely to be comedians or satirists. They’ll be outrageous or funny as a power strategy in the family.

More agreeable. Younger children tend to get along in the world better, a trait known as “agreeableness”. Compared to first born children, last borns are less likely to provoke people.

These birth order personality characteristics and lifestyle traits are not set in stone; they’re affected by family size, the environment, circumstances, etc.. Even so, birth order DOES have a very real effect on your life and personality traits!

Birth order, even on a rudimentary level, gives you a jump start on understanding each other,” says Cliff Isaacson, an Iowa-based psychotherapist and author of five books on birth order, including The Birth Order Effect for Couples. “Each place in the birth order has a unique thinking pattern, how he or she processes information.”

KP2 STUDENTS

Hmm..using money to encourage them study harder? Well i dont think it is a good idea..giving them plenty of money just making them lazy and tend to spend the money for fun. Furthermore, i dont know why academic section always love to held  meeting / event with KP2 students. Hoping the students will get back to the right track. I can bet, 98% that idea wont work. For me, it is just wasting time. If they really want to change, they should do something. First, eat something healthy, take more fruits and vegetables, avoid from something that can slow down the brain's performance. Second, practice practice and practice. Third, never miss to pray. For those who are very confident to take risk, then it is ok..But my recommendation is, go find some work out there or business maybe. And after three years, you compare with a fresh degree student, you are so much better than them.

if i could rule the world..

PART 1

every year during festive season all Malaysian will leave Kuala Lumpur to go back to their village and each year we will hear news about the congested roads all around the country.like what have happened to me yesterday while i was on my way from Ipoh to Melaka. I took a bus at 315p.m from Ipoh and for 2 hours we still didnt reach Tapah which will only take about 45 minutes on normal days. It took me more than 4 hours just to arrive at Tanjung Malim.

While I was trapped in the traffic jam I started to think of a few alternative to see this problem been resolved. So if I could rule the world I am thinking of building a new freeway that connect all major cities in Malaysia. The main problem that caused this traffic jam is that Malaysia only has 2 main roads that goes around the Peninsular which are the highway and the old road.

The other solution that I was thinking was starting my own super economical flight service. This way people will not be burdened by the ticket fare and can travel faster without using the land road and that will reduce the volume of vehicles on the road and hopefully the traffic jam can be a thing of the past for all Malaysians.

My Educational Aspiration for 2011

No doubt education is really important nowdays. And for students, every of them must have their own recipe to achieve what they are looking for. Something that can fire up their spirit to keep moving forward and never give up, the aspiration. Mine is very simple. I always look at the nice and expensive cars. I was just like I wish i could be like this guy, driving fantastic car. And this guy must really work very hard and I must do the same thing. I must study hard to get better job and better salary to have a better life. Furthermore, I never forgot what my practical boss said, never give up, dont care about what are people going to say, work hard, believe in yourself and stand up like a man. Someday you gonna dance with those lions.

friendship

Both friends will think the other is busy
And will not contact thinking it may be disturbing
As time passes
Both will think let the other contact
After that each of them will be thinking why i should contact first ?
Here your friendship will be converted to hate
Finally without contact the memory becomes weak
They forget each other.
So keep in touch with all and send this to all your friends you dont wanna loose..

pizza!!yum-yum!!

Almost 3000 years of food evolution has taken place for the pizza pie to reach its current delicious state today. Although flat breads have been around for 6000 years, the word “pizziare” started appearing in Italian writings as far back as 1000 B.C. The word pizza itself is believed to have originated from an “Old Italian” word meaning “a point,” which in turn became the Italian word “pizziare,” which means to pinch, or to pluck.
